Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
A PC version appears plausible, but it is not official. Rockstar’s GTA 6 website, support pages and parent company Take-Two’s release schedule currently list only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
That distinction matters. Rockstar has brought major games to PC after their console debuts before, but its previous release strategy does not guarantee that GTA 6 will follow the same schedule.
Grand Theft Auto V first launched for PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013. Its PC version arrived on April 14, 2015. Red Dead Redemption 2 launched for consoles in October 2018 and reached PC on November 5, 2019.
Those examples show that a later PC edition would be consistent with Rockstar’s history. They do not reveal when, or even formally confirm that, GTA 6 will receive one.
When could the GTA 6 PC version be released?
There is no reliable release window yet. Predictions such as “six months later” or “sometime in 2027” should be treated as editorial estimates, not release information.
The safest answer is simple: PC players need to wait for a direct announcement from Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
HEET.GG will update this page when a PC platform appears on the official GTA 6 website, Rockstar Newswire or Take-Two’s release schedule. You can also follow our latest gaming news for confirmed announcements.
Are the GTA 6 PC system requirements available?
No. Rockstar has not published minimum or recommended PC specifications for GTA 6.
Lists currently circulating online are estimates based on the console hardware, trailers or other open-world games. They should not be used as official purchasing advice.
Until Rockstar confirms a PC build, players do not know:
- Which processors and graphics cards will be supported
- How much RAM or storage space will be required
- Whether an SSD will be mandatory
- Which resolution and frame-rate targets the specifications represent
- Whether technologies such as upscaling or ray tracing will be supported
- Which versions of Windows will be compatible
Avoid upgrading an otherwise capable PC solely around an unofficial requirements list.
Will GTA 6 be on Steam or the Epic Games Store?
Rockstar has not announced any PC storefronts. There is currently no official GTA 6 product page for PC, Steam or the Epic Games Store.
A future PC release could also involve the Rockstar Games Launcher, as Rockstar uses it for its existing PC catalogue. That remains an inference from the company’s current distribution model, not a confirmed GTA 6 detail.
Do not purchase so-called PC keys or accept download offers. No legitimate GTA 6 PC edition is currently available to preorder.
What has Rockstar confirmed for consoles?
GTA 6 will launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026. Rockstar describes it as a single-player experience following Jason and Lucia in Vice City and the wider state of Leonida.
The announced US launch price is $79.99. Digital console preloads begin on November 12. Rockstar has not listed PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 2 or PC as launch platforms.
Frequently asked questions
Can I preorder GTA 6 for PC?
No. Official preorders currently cover PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Offers for PC keys should be avoided.
Are the leaked GTA 6 PC requirements real?
No official requirements exist. Treat every current specification list as an estimate.
Will GTA 6 launch on PC and consoles at the same time?
No simultaneous PC release has been announced. The confirmed November 19 launch covers PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Should PC players buy a console to play at launch?
That is a personal purchasing decision. A current-generation console is the only confirmed way to play at launch, but players who primarily prefer PC may want to wait for an official announcement rather than relying on predictions.
