How sensitivity conversion works
Every game measures mouse sensitivity on its own scale, so the same number means a different turn speed in each one. What stays constant is the distance your hand travels: the centimetres of mousepad a full 360° turn takes. Converting a sensitivity means finding the value in the second game that reproduces that same distance.
Underneath, every game has a yaw value: the degrees you turn per unit of mouse movement at a sensitivity of 1. Counter-Strike and the Quake/Source engine use 0.022, Valorant 0.06996, Overwatch and Call of Duty 0.0066. That makes a conversion one multiplication:
A Quake sensitivity of 1.5 is 1.5 × 0.022 ÷ 0.0066 = 5.0 in Overwatch, and a Counter-Strike number is about 3.18 times its Valorant equivalent. Your DPI does not change that multiplication — DPI and in-game sensitivity together decide your cm/360 physical distance.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert my sensitivity between two games?
Pick the game you already play in the first field and type the sensitivity you use there, then pick the game you want to convert to. The converted value appears as you type. Add your mouse DPI to also see how far a full 360° turn moves your hand.
What is cm/360?
cm/360 is how far your mouse travels across the pad to turn a full 360° in game. It is the one measure that means the same thing in every title, which is why it is the quantity a conversion preserves. A lower cm/360 is a faster sensitivity, a higher one is slower.
Does my DPI change the converted sensitivity?
No. The converted in-game number depends only on the two games’ yaw values, so it comes out the same at 400 DPI and at 3200 DPI. DPI decides the physical distance behind that number, which is why the converter needs it before it can show cm/360.
Why does my converted sensitivity feel different?
A conversion matches how far you move for a full turn, which is the part that carries between games. Field of view, aspect ratio, mouse acceleration and a game’s own smoothing all change how that same distance feels.
Which games can I convert between?
Every game listed in KovaaK's, in either direction, including Valorant, Counter-Strike 2, CS:GO, Overwatch, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Marvel Rivals, Deadlock, Rainbow 6: Siege, The FINALS, Delta Force, Fragpunk, Strinova, Rust, and PUBG. You can also convert to and from raw counts per 360°.
What sensitivity should I use?
There is no single correct number. The converter marks the typical range for the game you are converting to, running from roughly 15 cm to roughly 70 cm per 360°. Pick a distance you can hold steady, then keep that same cm/360 in every game you play.
